Music
It's been said that "music is the language of the soul". We recognize that high quality music has the potential to touch the soul of any person who hears it, and we want to use music to do just that.
Vocal Team
All of the people involved on our vocal team are members of NRVCC and
are gifted and called by God to use their gifts to facilitate worship,
to communicate God's love and truth to our congregation, to reach out
to seekers and thrill believers.
Instrumentalists
The people who are involved in our instrumental ministries feel gifted
and called by God to use their gifts to serve our congregation through music.
Instrumental team members play at weekend services, quarterly New Community
services, and special events. There are also opportunities for those who
play specialized instruments to audition to play when needed.
Drama
Drama speaks in ways that other art forms cannot. Our dramatists believe in presenting real-life issues, struggles, and questions as well as using humor to fully engage the mind and emotions of the viewers.
Creative Writing
In Isaiah 50:9 it says "the Lord God has given me the tongue of the learned that I may know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary." We believe that God has uniquely gifted some people to write powerful words that speak directly to the heart of those who hear. Whether it's writing poetry or prose, lyrics, stories, or scripts for drama or videos, God has given some the gift of words for a reason!
Dance
Poetry in motion. Using individual interpretive dances, as well as group dances and stomp routines, our dancers use their gifts for grace and rhythm to bring expression to music.
Visual Arts
Painting. Drawing. Sculpture. Pottery. Photography. Graphic Arts. We want artists to have the freedom and opportunity to create visual examples of their struggles, their joys...their life. Lobby displays, sermon illustrations, power point backgrounds, and stage design are just a few of the ways that we envision visual arts touching lives at NRVCC.
Stage Design
Stage designers creatively use different materials such as fabric, metal and plastic to design the "look" for the main stage services. This is a way to create a unique atmosphere for each sermon series.
